Hello Pet Loving World!

Wow, so I’ve been debating starting a blog for a long time and finally have decided to bite the bullet and take the plunge.  My goal is to open up a line of communication with not only my clients, but pet owners everywhere.  I enjoy posting on Facebook and other social media channels, but it really seems like these have their limitations in not only the size of the communication, but the ability of people to see what we put out.  It seems like every other day I read an article about how Facebook is going to change who will see our posts.  My number one goal is to be a great doctor, and I don’t have the time to figure out the hoops they want me to jump through in order to get my message out to you.  So I’m going to give this a try!

One of my biggest frustrations as a veterinarian is pet owners getting the wrong information about their pets and what’s best for them. Sometimes this information is coming from well meaning friends and neighbors, breeders, Dr. Google, pet stores, mass media marketing, and various other sources.  I would like to use this blog to help educate people in the most current pet related information based on experience and sound science.  I am a firm believer in lifelong learning and strive to learn something new every day.  Some days this is work related, some days not so much.  I will try and keep this as current and relevant as possible.  If there are subjects you would like me to address, please send me an email at DrStevenson@advancedpetcareclinic.com and I will do my best.  Often questions or problems one person is having with their pets many others are having as well.

Bear with me as I get my feet wet with writing a blog!  I hope you enjoy this, maybe get a little bit of entertainment, and learn a little a long the way!
